This exhibition offers the most comprehensive presentation to date of Karlos Gil’s work, articulating pieces that explore the relationship between technology, nature, and historical time. Through artifacts, urban signs, and audiovisual productions, the show traces a poetics of obsolescence and of the material transformations that shape our present.

The exhibition brings together series such as De-extinction and Stay Gold, along with new audiovisual works that delve into the boundaries between the organic and the artificial, as well as the imaginaries of the urban underground. Taken together, Declive constructs scenarios where past, present, and future intertwine, opening critical fictions about ruin, memory, and possible worlds to come.
