The exhibition “Vanguardia y destino” presents a new display of the permanent collections of the Asociación Colección Arte Contemporáneo, proposing different approaches to revisiting the history of 20th-century art, with the aim of placing certain traits and definitions of avant-garde art at the center of the debate.

A museographic space can have more or less prominence within the overall setting, adapting to different needs. Through a wall wash of light and focused illumination on the collection’s paintings, the lighting inequalities on the vertical surfaces of the galleries were eliminated. The result was a homogeneous view of the exhibition space, where the three-dimensional sculptural elements stood out against a bright, uncluttered background.
