In an era characterised by the presence of emperors, continuous confrontations between states and a great philosophical and cultural revolution, The Art of War, attributed to Sunzi, was published in China, with great impact on military, economic and political strategy beyond the borders of Asia.
The exhibition is based on the image of a bamboo forest, like a labyrinth of ideas, as a common and customary representation of the Chinese imagination. To transfer this concept to the museographic level, we proposed the use of cardboard tubes of different diameters and heights that served to divide the space and support texts and images, while at the same time generating a stimulating and sensorially attractive atmosphere to suit the needs of each area. The exhibition was divided into three spaces. The first, called «Master Sunzi said...», was an experiential space where Sunzi's message was conveyed to the visitor through immersion in the elements and sounds of nature, which are the key elements of his work. The second chapter, «Sunzi, a Chinese classic of antiquity», showed a global vision of the author and his political, social and cultural context. And the last area, «After Sunzi...», contained examples and applications of the impact of his thought and philosophy beyond military strategy.
