Experimental museographic setting: The coastline

Graphic Design

Eurecat – Centre Tecnològic de Catalunya (Barcelona)

2021

A museum project set up at Montjuïc Castle that explored the evolution of Barcelona's coastline through the relationship between humans and the sea.

The exhibition was divided into four areas that revealed the human relationship with the sea throughout history in the context of Barcelona's coastline, in a highly experiential museographic setting that supported the content with graphic and audiovisual resources created ad hoc. In order to comply with the Covid19 regulations in force, “touchless” technology was implemented, allowing visitors to operate the different audiovisual, sound and lighting resources by placing themselves on graphic circles located on the floor, using presence sensors.

Work carried out: Conceptualisation. Museographic design, graphic design and lighting design. Technical Direction.

Photographs: José Luis de la Parra.
