Fundación Edades del Hombre

The late Gothic church of San Cosme y San Damián in Covarrubias is considered a Site of Cultural Interest and has housed an ecclesiastical museum for many years. Intervento was commissioned by the Fundación Edades del Hombre and the Diocese of Burgos to completely renovate the lighting of the church and the new museum designed by architects Juan José Fernández and Jesús San José from the University of Valladolid.

A simple, balanced project carried out entirely with high-quality LED technology (CRI>90, CCT = 3000K), with dimming control for all installed luminaires. In each historic building, we tend to design a custom-made luminaire that is unique and specifically conceived for that architectural space. As has happened on other occasions, the simplest and most traditional of our designs was once again chosen by those responsible over the custom luminaire designed for this project.
