Lighting of the Roman Villa of La Olmeda.

2009

The architectural project by Paredes Pedrosa covers, with a modern, open, and functional design, the 4,400 square meters occupied by one of the most remarkable late Roman archaeological sites in Spain. The building’s outer skin provides diffuse natural light sufficient for most of the day.

The lighting was conceived as a discreet support that guides us through the site and encourages us to pause before the most significant works, enhancing them without disrupting the open, transparent space of this unique architecture.

Work carried out: Lighting design.

Photographs: José Luis de la Parra.
