Installation by the sculptor Bene Bergado at the Sala Alcalá 31, former building of the Banco Mercantil e Industrial, on the theme of the welfare economy. It consisted of a collection of large-format and audiovisual pieces that highlighted the artist's creative commitment to a social model that is moving inexorably towards the destruction of territories.

Following the artist's intention of stirring consciences, the upper part of the central nave housed the work «Prospect», a large-format audiovisual projection of the list of food additives of the European Union that ran across the screen as if they were film credits.
In the central space on the first floor there was a large installation, «Welfare Trap», consisting of a human-scale fishing trap where the metallic structures are access doors with shapes that go through the history of the architectural span, from the square to the circle, passing through the semicircular arch. This piece was accompanied by a sound installation made up of microphones with which the public could interact.

Work carried out: Rental, installation and programming of audiovisual equipment. Production, assembly and lighting.

Photographs: José Luis de la Parra.
