Luminaire design for the tool room in the Garden of Felipe II

Luminaire Design

Ayuntamiento de Segovia

2016

In the tool room of this historic garden next to the Eresma river, the remains of the mural decoration were restored. The aim was to achieve general lighting supported by a single luminaire that would enhance the space and make it unique for holding small events.

The geometry of the coffered ceiling prompted the idea of adapting the luminaire to the central part of the ceiling. The shape of the coffered ceiling is original and the luminaire is original, drawing attention to the former. The symmetry of the luminaire in the centre of the room generates a uniform light on all planes, highlighting the value of the wall paintings.

Work carried out: Luminaire design and lighting design for the gardens.
