Museu d’Arqueologia de Catalunya (Barcelona)

2022

This exhibition summarises the work carried out by the Centre for Underwater Archaeology of Catalonia since its beginnings.

An immersive exhibition that offered a tour of the work carried out by the Centre for Underwater Archaeology of Catalonia and the trades that make it up, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of its creation. The exhibition featured more than 200 pieces obtained during excavations on shipwrecks, presented in an immersive museography that simulated the marine environment through large panels and projections and carefully designed lighting that responded to aesthetic and conservation criteria. A submerged history that revealed the richness and diversity of Catalonia's underwater heritage to the general public.

Work carried out: Production and assembly of museography, lighting and audiovisual materials.

Photographs: José Luis de la Parra.
