Elizabethan Gothic style palace built by Iñigo Lopez de Mendoza y Luna in the late 15th century. Destroyed in 1936 the bombing was quite likely to have been carried out by the German Condor legion, the same legion that ravaged Guernica, whose objective in Guadalajara was the same as in the Basque town: to kill as many civilians as possible. In this respect, both the bombing of the palace, of no military importance whatsoever, and the Estación neighbourhood, with a working-class majority, support this hypothesis) it was rebuilt in the 1960s. The main façade, facing west, has a unique decorative element, the diamond tips.

Linking the garden to the ensemble and the two façades to each other provides a night-time image that is far superior to that which would be obtained by lighting only or primarily the main façade. The main façade has soft wallwash lighting with some highlighting on the façade doorway, balconies and entire length of the crown of the façade. Backlighting is added from inside the upper gallery and flush lighting to highlight the diamond tips.

Work carried out: Project and technical direction of the exterior lighting.
