Lighting of the Cardenal Belluga Square. Murcia.

Ornamental

Electromur

2014

The work focused on the three most important buildings in the square: the cathedral façade and tower, the bishop's palace and the Moneo building which houses the town hall. Two historic buildings and one outstanding example of contemporary civil architecture.

There were two conditions: most of the equipment had already been purchased with RGB technology, which meant that dynamic lighting had to be used at least in the bishop's palace and the town hall building. For the bishop's palace, a stable lighting system was chosen to reinforce the reddish tone of the rendering of the walls, and for the Moneo building, a sequence of allegorical scenes related to the territory was designed by María Gil de Montes and programmed by César Linares. The lighting of the cathedral focused on highlighting the tower and the main façade.

Work carried out: Project and technical direction of the exterior lighting.
