Retrospective exhibition on the work of the artist Vivian Suter

Installation of Cultural Assets

Palacio de Velázquez – Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía

2021

Retrospective exhibition on the colourful, diverse and random work of the artist Vivian Suter.

The exhibition brought together the organic and processual works produced by the Swiss-Argentine artist in his studi o at Panajachel, in the Guatemalan jungle, in which he interacts closely with the natural environment and in continuity with the surrounding tropical landscape. The museum installation highlighted this fact by installing in the Velázquez Palace a set of wooden pergolas from which the unframed canvases hung, in the manner of groups of trees, thus evoking the environment in which they were created.

Work carried out: Production and assembly of museography. Handling and Installation of Cultural Assets.

Photographs: José Luis de la Parra.
