The highlight of the 2019 event is the lighting of the canopy of souls; we made a special execution luminaire consisting of a series of vertical tubes of different lengths in opal glass suspended from a metal structure in the form of a canopy.

The souls are unique and equal at the same time. What form would the souls take? If we take into account the etymological origin of the word 'alma' (soul), which is found in the Greek word “ánemos”, meaning wind. Seems difficult to give a definite form to wind or breath. Although we would have loved to have been able to work with this concept, we had no choice but to stick to the form. What fits best is a line short enough to lose its linear nature and long enough not to become a point. Each of the “souls” can be dimmed by means of a programmed control system so that the individual parts are switched on and off sequentially.
